Republican John McCain is back in the limelight, what aides called a "major briefing."

Much of what he said, according to the Politico, wasn't really new. However, he continued to stress the need to finish the job in Iraq.

But he also seemed to take a more concilliatory tone toward other countries. Quote: Our great power does not mean we can do whatever we want whenever we want, nor should we assume we have all the wisdom and knowledge necessary to succeed.

McCain recently returned from several days touring Iraq and Europe.
