Obama Takes Lead In Superdelegates
For the first time, Barack Obama has taken the lead in committed superdelegates.
That, in turn, is a major [filtered word] to Hillary Clinton. Her only real chance at winning the Democratic nomination is to get a big majority of superdelegates. At one time, she led Obama by more than 100 superdelegates.
Superdelegates, which number more than 700, are senior political leaders who can vote for whomever they want.
Obama now has 274 supers, while Clinton has 273. Obama also continues to lead in the popular vote and in pledged delegates.
